Text on reverse of card reads:

“Most arresting of the fabulous treasures discovered in the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamen, this statue alone, one of a pair that stood before the sealed door to the inmost burial chamber, gives sufficient idea of the vast wealth of ancient Egyptian kings. Seven foot high and carved with supreme skill from wood blackened with bitumen, it is lavishly adorned with sheets of beaten gold. Tutankhamen, a pharaoh made alive for us by his earnest religious reforms, reigned in Egypt over 3.000 years ago, and was buried in the Valley of the Tombs of the Kings, opposite Thebes, the capital which he deserted in his lifetime.”
