We are honoured to be working with several leading experts, both within the field of Egyptology and in the museum world. As they reveal more about our amazing collections, we are delighted to be able to draw on their combined expertise in order to enhance the stories each object can tell and to better maintain our objects for the future.
Prof Joann Fletcher
Having followed the work of Prof. Fletcher over the years, including her wonderful television programmes, we have also been lucky enough to attend some of her lectures and meet her in person. So we were delighted that she agreed to be one of our consultants for The Egyptomania Museum!
Jo has a contagious passion for Egypt in all its forms, including all aspects of Egyptomania, which she often includes in her social media posts and on her website ‘Immortal Egypt’.
Marc Chica i José
Marc is an Egyptologist based in Barcelona who regularly comes to the UK as part of his work as an academic, filmmaker and artist. With his work bridging the worlds of history, fine art and cinema, he has directed and produced several acclaimed films and is currently working with the Egyptian Museum of Barcelona.
So we are truly privileged that he has agreed to become our second consultant, working closely with Jo on all things Egyptomania!
